Participation Opportunities
Welcome to our storytelling and insight space—where we highlight the voices, experiences, and collaborative efforts shaping health care across Newfoundland and Labrador through public engagement. This blog showcases real-world examples of public engagement in action, highlighting the people, partnerships, and conversations that strengthen our health system.
NL Health Services has a dedicated program called MyVoiceNL that collects feedback and measures the experience of care across the health system. Through surveys, the people who use our services tell us our strengths and areas for improvement. This feedback helps us understand the experiences, priorities, and needs of our patients and caregivers. We use the results to support planning and quality improvement projects.
The Community Engagement Committee is a subcommittee of the Board of Trustees. Chaired by Dr. Francine Lemire, the committee comprises members of the Board, supported by representatives of the Executive team and other NL Health Services staff. The duties of this committee include overseeing the implementation of the organization's Public Engagement Framework; advising on communications and public relations; coordinating engagement opportunities with interest holders for the Board of Trustees; and serving as a liaison between the Board and Regional Health Councils and Foundations.
